AC Motor or IM [ Part - 2 ]
What is a
single segment or phase induction motor?
A single
phase induction motor is a motor that resources a unmarried segment to the
stator and gets the required strength within the rotor from the stator in an
induction manner.
Where is
single stage induction motor engine utilized?
- ·
Home water pump pump machine.
- ·
In the food drink mixer machine.
- ·
In a vacuum cleaner.
What is the
method of turning on unmarried or single section induction motor?
- ü The phase
of the motor is commenced via splitting.
- ü Is
introduced as a repulsion motor.
- ü The capacitor
is brought as a motor.
What is a
three section induction motor?
The stator
of a 3 phase induction motor has three segment windings so that when furnished
the deliver creates a rotating magnetic area and rotates at synchronous speeds.
This magnetic force line captures the voltage on the rotor conductor which
generates cutting-edge and rotor.
Write a few
names of starting approach of 3 phase induction motor?
-
Direct online starter.
-
Three section star-delta approach.
-
Rotor resistance starter.
-
Auto transformer method.
-
Star Delta Starter.

What is the
slip of induction motor engine?
The rotor
of the induction motor continually rotates at a velocity less than the
synchronous pace. Now the question may be why flip at low pace. If the rotor
rotates at synchronous speed, the flux will not be capable of reduce its
conductor.
The value
received by means of dividing the difference between the synchronous velocity
(Ns) of the motor and the rotor velocity (Nr) by way of the synchronous pace is
known as the slip of the induction motor. It is commonly expressed in
percentages. It is typically four to 6 percent.
% S = ((Ns-Nr) × 100) / Ns
What to do
if the 3 segment induction motor rotates in the contrary or opposite direction?
In order to
show the 3 segment induction motor in the opposite direction, the connection of
any two stages has to be changed between each other.
How to control the rate of speed induction motor?
- v Reducing or
increasing the deliver voltage.
- v Changes the
variety of poles of the motor.
- v Changes the
frequency.
- v The
resistance of the rotor increases or decreases.
- v In cascade
control method.
